Emplois Compétences offers a convenient and quick service to registered users who wish to respond electronically to job offers posted on the Emplois Compétences website. To use this service, you submit your name, email, and/or phone number and complete by uploading your resume to Emplois Compétences. You control the content of your resume, including the amount of personal information it contains. In general, a resume includes your first and last name, contact information, a summary of your work experience, education, and specific skills, as well as additional information that may interest Employers. Finally, you can also choose to submit a cover letter to Emplois Compétences, the content of which you also control. You can modify your resume and cover letter at any time by logging into Emplois Compétences. When you choose to respond electronically to job offers through Emplois Compétences and transmit your profile, resume, and cover letter to an Employer through this service, you should expect that all information on your registration documents will be reviewed and that this information may be retained by the Employers who receive them for their personal use. Before accessing the profile, resume, and cover letter service, you must accept the conditions governing the collection, use, and disclosure of the information you submit to Emplois Compétences, as described in the Privacy Policy, by clicking “Accept” where indicated or using one of the methods proposed to confirm that you accept these conditions.
Use of cookies
Emplois Compétences uses “cookies” to facilitate estimating the volume of visits to the Emplois Compétences website, the average time of use of our services per visit, pages visited, and other general statistics. Cookies are simple text files that Internet browsers, automatically configured for this purpose, place on the hard drive of your computer when you visit a website. While we take all reasonable measures to protect your privacy, our control over how Employers retain and use your personal information is limited. We remind you that you are responsible for keeping confidential the password you have chosen to access the services offered by Emplois Compétences.
Disclosure of information
The personal information you provide to us will be disclosed to authorized users of Emplois Compétences as described in this Privacy Policy. Emplois Compétences does not sell, share, or rent the information you submit to us in any way, unless otherwise stated in the Privacy Policy or with your express permission. Emplois Compétences reserves the right to disclose your personal information to companies with whom we have contracted and to individuals we employ to perform functions on our behalf only to the extent necessary to perform these functions. Emplois Compétences adheres to the strictest principles of integrity in all advertising, communication, and solicitation; Emplois Compétences conducts its operations in a manner that promotes the activities and enhances the image and reputation of the placement, recruitment, and staffing services industry. Emplois Compétences subscribes to the Canada Anti-Spam Law (CASL). According to CASL, recipients who subscribed to electronic message distribution lists before July 1, 2014, are deemed to have given implied consent to receive electronic messages. Implied consent includes:
A recipient who has provided us with their email address to obtain a job;
A recipient who has received a service and provided us with their email address;
A recipient whose email address has been freely disclosed on a company’s website or during a business card exchange;
A recipient with whom a business relationship has existed in the last 2 years and whose electronic message corresponds to the recipient’s business activities.
Emplois Compétences has put in place the necessary mechanisms to unsubscribe and subscribe to various services using external electronic communications. From July 1, 2014, adding a recipient to Emplois Compétences’ mailing lists will correspond to voluntary registrations for which Emplois Compétences holds the “express” (explicitly expressed) authorization of the recipient.
We offer you the opportunity to opt out or stop receiving information from Emplois Compétences using the specific online function.
Security
Emplois Compétences has taken reasonable precautions to protect your personal information and your rights regarding the protection of your privacy. When you submit personal or confidential information to our website, your information is protected both online and offline.
